NEW WORLD MUSIC, OLD WORLD TRADITION

Acclaimed Indian Jazz Guitarist Todd Mosby has created a new musical syntax integrating Indian classical music and Western music while encompassing elements from classical, folk, bluegrass and jazz.

The result opens new frontiers with exciting new sounds and structures that transcend known genres of music.

Joining Todd to complete the ensemble is Grammy nominated bass virtuoso Michael Manring from San Fransisco, Grammy winning percussionist Jeff Haynes From NYC, wind virtuoso Premik Tubbs from NYC and Lola Toben on vocals and piano from Los Angeles.

Michael Manring

Grammy nominated, master of the fretless bass, soloist without rival. Michael pioneered the solo bass performance concept. Along with Michael Hedges they developed a style of instrumental performance with persists to this day. As the bass voice of Windham Hill Records, he has recorded as performed extensively with Michael Hedges, Mark Isham, Will Ackerman to name a few.

Premik R. Tubbs

An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, he performs on flutes, soprano, alto, tenor saxophones, wind synth and lap steel guitar. Premik started his career with John McLaughlin and has performed and or recorded with Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, Ravi Shankar, Clarence Clemons, Ornette Coleman, Jackson Browne, Jean-Luc Ponty, Lonnie Liston-Smith, James Taylor, Sting and Lady Gaga just to name a few.

Jeff Haynes

A Grammy winning percussionist, Jeff has toured with everyone from the Pat Metheny Group, Al Jarreau, Cassandra Wilson, and Lizz Wright to Harry Belafonte and Peabo Bryson and his chops can be heard on nearly 200 CDs. Jeff was the clear choice for Brian Blade’s all-star band for two tributes for the legendary Joni Mitchell, performing with Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Esperanza Spalding, Chaka Khan, Aimee Mann.

Lola Toben

A singer, pianist, and songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. Her high-energy, heartfelt performances make it clear that it is harder for her to keep emotions in than to let them out. In her blossoming career as a musician, she has found success in many aspects of the music industry. Lola Toben is a rare gem.

Bryan Toben

A multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Bryan Toben was born in Saint Louis, Missouri to an extremely musical family. By the time he was a junior in high school, Bryan was performing publicly around town at local cafes and restaurants accompanied by classmate, Lola.
