CONCERT DESCRIPTION
Todd Mosby delivers contemporary acoustic guitar with virtuoso flair leaving audiences with a concert experience remembered years later. A founding member of Will Ackerman’s Four Guitars, Mosby represented what Ackerman deemed leaders in the field of contemporary acoustic guitar.
He uses acoustic guitar and Imrat guitar along with occasional loop technology to whisk listeners away to a borderless realm where jazz, North Indian, composition and American folk-rock create transformative experiences. His music is a gorgeous scrapbook of the visual, emotive, spiritual essence surrounding the places he has lived and the people he encountered. His compositions feature strong melodies which are memorable and transportive. Mosby is the only guitarist to enter of the famed Imdhad Khani gharana, India’s oldest, most prestigious family of sitar musicians.
